Newsletter Term 2 Week 9 2024
Principal's Message

Dear Mabel Park State School Community,
Talofa Lava,
As we approach the end of another busy and productive semester, I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to our wonderful students for their hard work and dedication. Your commitment to learning and growth is truly inspiring, and I am incredibly proud of the progress each one of you has made.
I would also like to extend a special thank you to all the students and staff who contributed to making last week's Sports Day a tremendous success. Your enthusiasm, teamwork, and sportsmanship made the event enjoyable for everyone involved. It was fantastic to see the school spirit in full display, and I appreciate the effort that went into organising and participating in the various activities. A special shout out to Mr Phillips for convening this event.
A quick reminder that report cards will be emailed to families early in Term 3. To ensure you receive this important information, I kindly ask all parents and guardians to update their email contact information with the school office if there have been any recent changes. Keeping your contact details current helps us maintain effective communication with you.
As we head into the winter break, I wish all our families a happy and safe holiday. May this time be filled with rest, relaxation, and quality time with loved ones. We look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready for another exciting term.
Thank you once again for your ongoing support and involvement in our school community.
Kind regards,
Masina Taule’alo

Report Cards
This year we are going to trial sending student report cards home via email, rather than printing paper copies. You would have received a text message and email to let you know about this change. If you did not receive the email, it means the email address we have for you on our OneSchool system is either incorrect, or that perhaps your inbox is full. We have sent home a green “Change of Contact Details” form for families to return if contact details need updating. Report cards will be sent out on Monday 15th July (Week 2, Term 3). I will email all parents about how to request a paper copy of your child/ren’s report early next term.
School Photos
School photos are coming up on the 29th and 30th of July (Week 4, Term 3). Envelopes for payment will be sent home today. Please do not return these until the day of your child’s photos. A schedule for the photo days will be released early next term and will be sent to you through email and also posted on our Facebook page. If you require a separate envelope for group sibling photos, please call into our office to collect one. A limited number of spare envelopes will also be kept in the office in case you need a replacement.
Alexis Bell

We have been very busy on Middle Campus with end of term assessments, learning new things every day and Athletics Day which was a huge success. I would like to congratulate the students for showing our school values of Trust, Courage and Respect and showing up to school each day giving their best efforts.
At Mabel Park State School we value strong, positive relationships with families and carers and work hard to ensure we are modelling the way for students on respectful relationships with our whole community to ensure we maintain an inclusive and supportive school culture.
I would like to personally wish everyone a gorgeous school holidays and hope you get to spend this with family and friends.
