Principal's Message

Talofa Lava,
Dear Parents and Carers,
As we draw to the end of another fantastic year at Mabel Park State School, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to our students, parents, and staff for their unwavering support and dedication throughout 2024.
This year has been filled with many memorable highlights that have showcased the vibrant spirit of our school community. From the captivating cultural performances during Harmony Day, to the creative fun of Book Week and the Crazy Hat parades, to the joy and excitement of Under 8’s Day, every event has been a testament to the enthusiasm and collaboration that make our school so special.
Our sporting calendar was equally exciting, with outstanding participation and sportsmanship shown during Sports Gala Days, our Athletics Day and the Cross-Country carnival and a range of District and Regional Sports carnivals that our students attended. Of course, one of the most significant milestones this year was celebrating our school’s 50th Anniversary—a momentous occasion that allowed us to reflect on our rich history and look forward to a bright future.
As we prepare for 2025, we look forward to continuing this tradition of excellence with more exciting events and opportunities for our students to thrive. We are greatly looking forward to returning to Interschool Sports competitions in 2025, to allow our students to compete against the best Primary school teams in Logan.
At this time, I would also like to bid farewell to staff members who are leaving at the end of this year. Your contributions have enriched our school, and you will be greatly missed. Thank you for all you have done for Mabel Park State School, and we wish you all the very best in your future endeavours.
A reminder that Semester 2 report cards will be emailed to families on Wednesday, 11th December.
Finally, I wish all our families a safe, relaxing, and refreshing summer holiday. Thank you once again for making 2024 such a remarkable year. I look forward to welcoming everyone back to school on Tuesday, 29th January 2025, ready to embark on another year of learning and success.
Warm regards,
Masina Taule’alo
